Prepare for the English test of your teaching exam with real practice, not theory

  • To use C1-C2 vocabulary accurately: collocations, phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions.
  • To master key word transformations and the structures that come up most often.
  • To complete open cloze texts by controlling grammar, linking words and fixed expressions.
  • To understand complex texts in depth, including reference and inference questions.
  • To follow British English recordings and catch the exact words you need.
  • To discriminate RP vowel sounds and read and recognise IPA transcriptions.
  • To identify your weak areas by skill and work on them through repeated practice.

Frequently asked questions

Are the exercises taken from real exams?
No. All exercises are original. They reproduce the task types and level of recent exams, so you practise with new material rather than tasks you may already know.

Is it useful if I am not sitting the exam in Madrid?
Yes, as long as your English test is at C1-C2 level. The task types are aligned with Madrid, but the level and skills are common to other regions.

How are the exercises corrected?
Automatically, as soon as you finish each quiz. You will see your score and the explanation for every question.

What if my transformation answer is correct but marked as wrong?
We accept several valid answers per gap, but there may be correct alternatives we have not foreseen. Compare your answer with the explanation, and if you still think it is valid, write to us at contacto@oposemad.es.

Can I repeat the quizzes?
Yes, as many times as you like during your access period.

What if I don’t have much time?
The quizzes are short and work on your mobile, so you can practise at your own pace whenever you have a moment.

In what order should I do it?
Whichever order suits you. We recommend alternating skills each week and prioritising the one you find hardest.

Does it replace a preparation course?
No. This is a practice bank for the English test. The syllabus topics, the teaching programme and the practical case are covered in our Esencial and Premium preparation courses.

How long do I have access?
12 months from the date of purchase.

What exactly does this course prepare me for?

It prepares the practical part of the English specialty exam for the Primary teaching examination in the Community of Madrid. Every exercise is modelled on the real exam papers, at the C1-C2 level the examining board expects.

Who is this course for?

For anyone preparing the Primary English teaching exam in Madrid who wants focused, exam-specific practice. It works whether you already prepare with us or you’re studying on your own and want structured material at the right level.

What skills does it cover?

Four blocks, matching the exam: Use of English (key word transformations, vocabulary in context, open cloze), Reading (comprehension, reference and inference), Listening (audio with multiple-choice and gap-fill questions), and Phonetics (vowel sound discrimination in British English).

How many exercises are there?

More than 500 questions to learn from and practise with, each one with its own explanation, so you don’t just check your answer — you understand it.

Are the exercises corrected automatically?

Yes. Every question marks itself instantly and shows you why the answer is what it is, explaining the rule, structure or nuance behind it. You can repeat each exercise as many times as you need.

What English variety is used?

British English throughout, in line with the Community of Madrid exam papers — including the phonetics section, which follows RP (Received Pronunciation).

Do I need a particular level to start?

The material is aimed at the C1-C2 level required by the exam. You can start at any point and work at your own pace; the explanations are there to help you close any gaps as you go.
